One of Puerto Rico’s most famous landmarks, El Morro, is a 16th‑century fortress with impressive towers and tunnels. Nearby, San Juan Cemetery is one of the most scenic resting places you’re likely to see, set against dramatic coastal views. Just outside the city, the lush and diverse El Yunque Rainforest offers a natural paradise of waterfalls, trails, and tropical wildlife. kralendijk, bonaire

Bonaire is a Caribbean island east of Central America and north of Venezuela. Together with Aruba and Curaçao, it forms the group known as the ABC islands. Bonaire is an island for nature lovers. The island has three nature sanctuaries: one for birds and wildlife, another for flamingos, and a third for marine life. Bonaire is one of the few remaining nesting places in the world for the pink flamingo. Its turquoise and blue waters are stunning and inviting. Snorkelling and scuba diving are the main activities here, and it’s easy to see why Bonaire is considered an underwater paradise. Bonaire’s capital, Kralendijk, which means “dyke made from coral”, is a very pleasant port town on the central west coast of the island. This is where you’ll find the vast majority of Bonaire’s restaurants, businesses, bars and shops. Kralendijk is a lovely town to explore on foot, especially for a long walk.

Curaçao is an island in the Caribbean, among the group known as the ABC Islands alongside Aruba and Bonaire. One of the most notable things about the island is its culture. Curaçao has a lovely mix of Caribbean, European, and Latino culture. The streets and buildings have a European appearance, but the people, the food, the music and the colourful street markets have a distinctly Caribbean feel. Willemstad is the capital of Curaçao. Willemstad has a stunning old town. Many of the buildings were built in the colonial Dutch style in the early 18th century. The facades of these buildings are a kaleidoscope of colours ranging from pastel shades to vibrant blues, greens, reds, purples, jades, and buffs in a wide variety of shades. Friendly locals, fantastic climate, white sand, crystal clear water, some of the world’s best scuba diving spots, European-style architecture, a unique international floating market, the world’s longest floating bridge and the many opportunities for excursions and entertainment really make Curacao a place that should be on your Caribbean wish list.
